Criminal Law

Criminal Law is the body of law that defines criminal offences and regulates the procedures to be followed by our courts and policing authorities. Criminal Law is usually set into motion with the opening of a case against a person for allegedly committing an offence as set out in numerous different Acts. There after the procedure as set out in the Criminal Procedure Act regulates the options available to the accused party as well as the lawful procedures to be followed in bringing the matter before a court of law.
